Las Docas & Sao Miguel

Since I started to study in this university in 2017 I started to travel a lot with my friends with to different places of Chile and other countries from Latin America. The idea was always to arrive to the places that we wanted to meet no matter what transport we had to take or what difficulties we had to deal. In Chile I have to say that the most beautiful beach I have met is Las Docas. This bay is located near Laguna Verde, like 20 kilometers to the south from Valparaíso. We stayed there in tents, with a few more people and it was amazing, it was like being in a tropical country but a little colder.

Even tough Las Docas was very pretty, the most stunning beach that I have ever met was in Sao Miguel dos Milagres. This beach was located in the northeast of Brazil, near the city of Maceió. To get to this place we had to travel a lot in bus, minibus and mototaxi. We get there because there was a camping there (perfect for us the poor backpackers). This beach had the water warmer than other places because there was a coral 200 meters offshore protecting the waves, so it was like a swimming pool. Another marvelous thing was the sunsets, orange and red was the dominant colours in the sky at 18.00 o'clock over the sea and the silhouettes of the palms in the coast. We never wanted to leave that place.

My last holidays When I finished the university in January, in the summer of 2019 I traveled to many places. The last week in January, I traveled to South of Chile with my boyfriend and his family.  We went to house in Calafquen Lake in Licanray. It was very entertaining because we swam in the lake and in the night we play “dudo”.  After to Lincanray I went to Elqui Valley in Coquimbo with my family. We were in a house in the center to Pisco Elqui. The house was beautiful, with a big playground and pool. The last travel of my vacation was to Brasil with my boyfriend. In February 19, we started the trip from Chile. We arrived to Sao Paulo and then we traveled to Salvador. In Salvador We met the Historic Center and enjoyed the carnival. Then we traveled to center of Brasil, to the Chapada Diamantina Park, this is the most beautiful place. After we traveled to Northeast of Brasil, We met a many beach. This picture was taken last summer in a Brazilian park after climbing a fairly high hill. This is a beautiful park, full of natural beauties located in Lencois. The picture was taken by my ex-boyfriend when we were still together. That day we did a tour in Chapada Diamantina a nd one of the stops was this place. This was the last stop and we were very tired, but when we reached the summit all the effort was worth it. This photograph symbolizes a very happy moment of my life, the place was perfect and with wonderful campaign. It brings me very nice and nostalgic memories I always think about being in that place and that moment again.

What I enjoyed most this semester was studying geology. It has been my favorite subject so far. It is a very entertaining subject, it has taught me to know better the processes of the earth. It also has many exits to great places. I enjoy the classes very much and the teacher is very nice and passionate about his profession. I would like to continue studying something related to geology, maybe geomorphology. I have also done very well, I have had good grades. When I was a girl, I always wanted to study geology and in this matter I have learned a lot about it. Also, when I was a child they gave me a book and a lens to see rocks. We also always traveled with my family to hills and places related to geology. In classes I have also used it and they have served me well
